You need to add a payment method to use our DC Fast charging stations. Volta accepts credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. If Apple Pay or Google Pay are enabled on your phone, you do not need to add it as a payment method.
These options will be available automatically for selection when you select payment for a charging session. Here’s how to add another payment method to your account:
- Open the Volta app on your phone and sign in to your account.
- Tap the MENU button on the top left.
- Tap SETTINGS
- Scroll down to PAYMENT METHOD and tap ADD PAYMENT METHOD.
- Tap ADD A CARD to add a credit card to your account.
To edit card details
Select the card in the list of existing payment methods. This will bring up the Card Details screen. Tap EDIT CARD to edit your card details, then tap SAVE CHANGES when you are ready.
To remove card details:
Swipe to the left on the card number that you want to remove, then tap the DELETE button that appears to the right. Alternately, tap the existing card number, and tap the trash can image in the upper right corner of the Card Details screen. Then tap DELETE to confirm.
To change your default payment method:
Just select the button next to your preferred payment method in the list of existing payment methods.
